Our mission is to
provide a clean, safe and welcoming venue to the community which, through its
facilities and activities, allows people to learn and develop skills, socialise
and gain friendships.
Membership of the
centre includes membership of the social club - and is needed(*) before you can
make use of these facilities since we operate under a Premises Licence (and
Community Centre constitution and rules).
The members bar provides
somewhere to meet for a social chat with other members, or somewhere to get a
coffee or drink (at special members prices). Many sections meet in the bar
after their normal activities, while others just come along to socialise with
their friends. Whats more, there is a darts board, cribbage, video games, card
games as well as a pool table, and a freeview digital large-screen TV for the
major sporting events - and colouring and games for the young.
Lounge Bar Prices: Please note that the prices for
private functions are higher than the members prices and will be more in-line
with pub prices. The bar serves the usual mix of beers (Worthington, Toby);
Lagers (Grolsch & Carling) and cider (Blackthorn), as well as Guinness;
plus a range of bottled beers and ciders. And we offer special house doubles
on whisky, gin, vodka and light rum.
